Religious Education

Please remember all of our P.R.E.P. students in your prayers as they begin their journey toward a fuller life and knowledge of our Catholic Faith.  Pray for their parents, catechists, and the Ministry team who serve as volunteers in our P.R.E.P. program.  As we move toward the close of this "Year of Mercy," let us pray: "Jesus I Trust in YOU."

Parish Religious Education Program (P.R.E.P)

The recently canonized St. John Paul II in his apostolic exhortation “Familiaris Consortio” wrote the following:

“The Christian family, in fact, is the first community called to announce the Gospel to the human person during growth and to bring him or her, through a progressive education and catechesis, to full human and Christian maturity.”

Our mission is to provide the Catechesis for our parish children. As a child learns and lives the Catechesis of the Church daily, through family prayer, attending mass, acts of charity, and Catechesis classes, a natural devotion for Jesus will begin to ignite in each child. Our goal is by providing this dynamic foundation, our parish children, will go forth as disciples of Jesus and future leaders of our church.

Catechesis Education begins in formally in 1st grade and continues through 6th grade.
