Biking for Babies invites bike riders of all ages who have a heart for pregnant moms and their babies to join us for the Philly Ride for Life on Saturday, June 29th. The day will begin with a presentation at 8:15am at Saints Philip and James Church in Exton, followed by the bike ride starting from the church parking lot. Mass will be at 7:15am for those who would like to attend. Riders can choose from a variety of distances, either on a road course or on the Chester Valley Trail. As a national non-profit, Biking for Babies is renewing the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries in the Gospel of life and offering them a week-long, biking mission trip. Their volunteer efforts include raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers and the moms they serve. The Philly Ride for Life provides an opportunity for bikers of all ages to raise money and awareness for local pregnancy resource centers and local missionaries, all while enjoying a bike ride with others. The Saint Pio Foundation recently launched a new project; “The Real Saint Pio.” It contains a number of digital resources that are available at no charge. Knights of Columbus Council 1374 and your parish Pro-life Committee are hosting a baby bottle fundraiser to benefit A Baby's Breath Pregnancy Resource Center and Residence Hall in Phoenixville. A Baby's Breath provides shelter for pregnant women in crisis as well as prenatal and postnatal counseling and material assistance for mother and baby.
Pope Francis approved that a plenary indulgence will be granted to the Christian faithful who participate in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage at any point between May 17 and July 16, 2024. It will also be granted to the elderly, infirm, and all those who cannot leave their homes for a serious reason and who participate in spirit with the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, uniting their prayers, pains, or inconveniences with Christ and the pilgrimage. This indulgence is granted under the usual conditions of sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father.
