Prayer is the best gift we can give the new Holy Father. In lifting up the church’s chief shepherd, we are drawn together in unity as people of faith and reminded of the role we all play in helping each other become saints!
Join us in keeping Pope Leo XIV and the whole universal church in prayer.
God, our loving Father, bless and uplift Pope Leo XIV in the ministry of the papal office, that he would at all times be defended from evil, strengthened for the work you have prepared for him, and blessed with every spiritual good for his sake and the sake of your bride, the Church, that she in turn would be an emblem of unity and love to the whole world.
Amen.
Prayer of Thanksgiving for the new Pope
God of steadfast love,
we thank you for guiding
the selection of Pope Leo XIV
to be the shepherd of your people.
Endow him with wisdom,
grant him courage and strength,
and imbue him with your love,
that he may lead your Church
with mercy and compassion
to seek peace, justice, and dignity
for all people and your entire creation.
May he be for your people, a faithful witness
to your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom we make this prayer.
Amen.
