Thank you for sharing your time and talent at Sacred Heart Parish! In preparation for volunteering, you are asked to comply with the following Archdiocesan volunteer requirements. Below are directions on how to complete the process for each requirement. Please keep a copy of everything for your records.
Clearance/background checks are required any time you volunteer and have any contact with a child, even if it is just one time.

This clearance can be obtained immediately online.
The Child Abuse clearance can be submitted electronically.
Either option must be updated every 5 years.
(One-time, 3-hr. session)
This child abuse and prevention class is offered throughout the archdiocese.
After completion:
If you had completed the Virtus Safe Environment Training, “Protecting God’s Children”, prior to July 1, 2011, you must read and complete the following training materials regarding the use of Technology.
This online training provides an overview of PA Child Protective Services law and Archdiocesan policy regarding the reporting of suspected abuse.
***Update to Mandated Reporter if taken before Dec. 1, 2014:
ALL volunteers as well as every member of any organization which uses parish facilities and/or carries the parish name, and who have regular contact with children, must be in compliance with the above requirements.
